Halloween

This film has a lot of scenes which builds up suspense to the audience, most films are based in the dark which represents evil. The scene which i think creates the most bloody and effective suspense is when the two young people are about to have sex, we see a over the shoulder shot of Michael Myers standing over the young man and stabs him, which then moves into a close up of the mans face, after that we hear a non-diegetic quiet soundtrack which tries to describe the situation in the best way possible, we also see a shot reverse shot of both the reaction of the young girl screaming and a facial expression of the murderers. The lighting used in this film was every simple because of the time it was made, which is 1978 thriller film.
